Classic Car Fusion is offering this extremely cool vintage road race prepped Ford Mustang coupe. This turn-key street legal race car with black California plates has over k invested in it, and is eligible for open track events, vintage racing, SCCA track days, or use as a completely streetable hotrod.

Wrapped around custom offset 17x8. Further suspension upgrades and mods include modified front shock towers, Mustang "big bearing" spindles, Traction Master traction bars, custom fabricated Maier racing panhard bar, and Koni racing shocks on all four corners. Supplying power to the massive sticky tires is a fully built and Dyno tested Windsor small block with custom ported Edelbrock Victor aluminum heads, forged flat-top compression pistons and a huge solid lifter flat tappet race camshaft with stainless roller rocker arms.

Rounding out the engine bay is a race spec water pump, Boss harmonic balancer, Ford racing amp alternator, custom aluminum radiator, and stainless braided hoses and AN fittings throughout the car. The rest of the drive train is more than capable of handling the power at wide open throttle and starts with an aluminum flywheel with light weight scatter shield, backed by a close ratio 4 speed Top-loader with road race gears and a custom built kevlar clutch.

A custom built steel 3" driveshaft then sends power through a 9 inch rear end with Ford gears and Tru-Trac posi. Moving on the the exterior we have 2 inch widened kevlar front fenders from Maier racing along with an R-model front racing apron and steel framed fiberglass hood.

Making this race car lighter still is a Lexan rear windshield and gutted door glass. An exterior mounted electric cut off switch on the tail light panel insures safety and racing compliance.

Finally the interior is kept to a bare minimum with an SCCA sanctioned roll cage, 5 point harnesses and a fixed back racing bucket seat for the driver. The original dash and all gauges are in perfect working condition with the addition of a column mounted Autometer tach and a trio of custom mounted coolant gauges on the golvebox. For further safety and weight distribtion, a Fire Safe 22 gallon fuel cell is mounted in the trunk along with an enclosed relocated battery.
