The Vogue Summer Intensive Course is suitable for students from a wide range of backgrounds, including school-leavers and graduates hoping to work in fashion, as well as those who are seeking a new career path. Although British Vogue is our starting point, the course also draws upon the broader influences that inform this fast-paced and exciting industry.
The course will touch on a wide range of topics, from journalism and PR to creative direction. Each week, a key theme is considered, and you will work on group projects and activities throughout the course, including styling in our on-site photography studio and designing your very own Vogue cover.
The College day begins at 10am and ends at 5pm. Any activities taking place beyond this time are optional. On your first day you will receive a class timetable, which you will access through TimeEdit, the College scheduling system.
There are no specific books to buy for the course. Students will have access to the College reference library and recommendations for further reading will be made throughout the course. During the course you will gain academic credit for completion of our credit level 4 Fashion Media module. Independent and group work to complete the assessed elements of the course will take place on the first three Fridays, with project submission and assessed presentations taking place on the final day.
College induction and introduction to key topics that will be covered on the course. As well as weekly themes, there are regular sessions on the topics below, all of which are introduced during the first week. The final week will focus on completing and presenting a course assignment as well as working in teams on two studio-based shoots, alongside photographers and other creative professionals.
